Text encoding formats

For compatibility with other software used in conjunction with Photo Mechanics, it would be good to include Unicode text formats including UFT-8 and UFT-16 with and without BOM and line breaks including Legacy MAC (CR), Unix (LF) and Windows (CRLF) in the Preferences.

For what particular data?  XMP is always UTF-8.
