I've been using PM 4.5 to paste ITPC info to large sets of DNG images and have been getting random crashes. The number of DNG files per file folder is around 2000 images. What i do is,
- open the ITPC info panel for the first image
- make the changes and save
- take a snapshot
- select all images in the folder
- then iptc paste the recent snapshot
Sometimes is works and sometimes it crashes. Smaller folders work like a charm.
Also, this may or not be related, but when open the ITPC info panel for DNG that has been annotated with CS3, make NO changes and just cancel; PM 4.5 asks me if I want to save the changes. The trouble is I made not changes to the IPTC data.
All the images where converted using Adobe DNG Converter (from Cs3 kit) from NEF files (which had sidecars with ITPC and camera raw data in them), then I added some metadata using CS3 Bridge. Then replaced he IPTC data using PM 4.5 as above.
Here is the crash info I could find. The automatic error reporting that happens in prvious PM versions did not happen.
