multiple views of file

I have a file, that was moved three times from one harddisk to another.
PMplus catalogued the file on each of the places.
Now PMplus shows me three versions of the file when I'm browsing the catalogues, even, when I'm browsing only the catalogue for the hard disk, on which the file ist actually stored.

How can I avoid this behaviour?

How did you move the image?  If you move the image from within Photo Mechanic Plus, it shouldn't have been cataloged three times.

To correct the condition of the duplicate/missing images, select them and choose "Remove Selected Items" on the Catalog menu (or right-click on the selection and you can remove from the contextual menu.)

so the reason for the problem is moving files outside PMPlus ...
I thought, the database will quasi "actualize" its data, when I do a syncronation. But data once stored, will not be removed, when the file has changed its position to another place?

The catalog does not monitor your filesystem for changes.  Catalog Sync will not remove missing images though it will produce a list of missing files when it completes.
