I'm on vacation now, and unable to test different resolutions, but I did observe the problem with missing icons last week. Icons missing, but system still responded correctly when I clicked where they were supposed to be.

Thank you hjb00 for your feedback  ;)

I tested the oldest version of PM6+ and the problem is present, out of memory, I had never noticed this problem.
I wonder if the mac's performance hasn't decreased with successive updates to fix Intel processor "bugs" and other security issues.

Dub,

I have just tested by setting the display to 1600x900... and it works perfectly, 2048x1152 too... the more I increase the resolution the less the display follows the mouse...

Edit: In full resolution (5120x2880), the icon display also malfunctions when moving vertically.
(Just for information, the normal working resolution is 2560x1440.)

I wonder if it has something to do with "Retina" displays (DPI is a multiple of 72 points per inch)?  Seems like it.

Kirk, if your question is about the resolution of an iMac 27" 5k Retina display, it's 218 Dpi (14.7 million pixels).
