lose file rankings when saving with NX
« on: April 24, 2007, 07:26:52 PM »
When I save a file with Capture NX, the file loses any star or color rankings I have applyed in PM. Is this normal? I'm working with NEF files from a D200.

Go to the Preferences dialog, click on the Files tab.  Near the bottom is a setting titled: "Add tag, color class, and rating to IPTC/XMP:" followed by a popup menu.  Change it to read "For all photos".  Click OK.

Now when you rate, tag or color class a NEF file, the edits will be stored inside the IPTC/XMP data.  You should also set you IPTC/XMP preferences to look like this:
