Apple Sidecar files (aae) support
« on: December 26, 2021, 04:03:26 AM »
In reading some of the release notes, I see that PM supports aae Apple Sidecar files, but not sure I understand how.

When I open a contact sheet of unmodified originals exported from Apple Photos, I see HEIC files and aae files separately. Is there a way to associate the proper sidecar file to the image?

It looks like we'd have to check for those files matching HEIC files.  Currently we're only associating them with movie files and TIFFs.

I will be checking for AAE files on HEIC/HEIF files in the next build of our products.

That’s great. Thank you so much. I’ll be keeping an eye out for it.
