Warn when deleting photos with WAV file
« on: December 11, 2022, 12:39:41 PM »
I'd like to see an option that would present a warning dialog, or extra confirmation, when a photo is deleted if it has a related WAV file.

When shooting sports and capturing large bursts, there are times the audio note can get recorded on what ends up not being one of the better photos in a sequence.

However when deleting "bad" photos out of a sequence I want to make sure I don't accidentally delete the WAV file. An extra warning would help avoid a mistake and give me an extra chance to rename the WAV to it becomes "attached" to a different photo in the sequence.

Kevin,

While this could be added, there is also a feature where you select the bad image (that has the WAV file) and select the image you want to have the image assigned to, and right-click on the audio icon, choose the "Move sounds to <filename>" and PM will do the rename and associate the WAV file with the other image.  Still won't help if you're rapidly deleting photos but the option is currently there.

Another feature I didn't know about, that move function is really slick.

This suggested warning would help let someone know they need to use it though.
