Browse Location in hierarchical order
« on: April 28, 2022, 11:50:52 PM »
I think it would be better to display the Location infos in a hierarchical order –specially for Digital Asset Management. Now Photo Mechanic+ it's mixing up all my cities and location/places.

An extra view in hierarchical order would be better.

Germany
   North Rhine-Westphalia
      Düsseldorf
         Altstadt

Spain
   Catalonia
      Barcelona
         Ramblas

Where would this go?  What part of the UI would it be displayed?

Hi Kirk,
thanks for your fast reply.

You got already menus with sub menus. Same like for (Structured) Keywords or Create DateTime.
Well it has to be tweaked a little bit and of course splitted by Country or ISO Country Code.

Capture One got both. IPTC Image, Location, City, State, etc. and Places in hirarchical order.
Makes it much easier for Digital Asset Management, but it's an overkill to handle all my images,
so I try to go for Photo Mechanic+

Location (Places)
   Country
      State/Province
         City
            Location

BTW. If you can also make a sub menus for Persons shown, to group them by genre.
e.g. Players, Family, Friends, Celebrities

OK, so you want to see this as Browse information.
