Feature Request to Reset numbering for each new folder created

I have been using the process of creating new folders named by date, that is, "{dateseqn}." 

When I am ingesting images from more than one date and therefore creating more than one folder, I would like each folder's image numbering to reset - each folder's images should start with 001 for example.  As of now, only the first folder starts with 001, and subsequent folders continue the sequence.  I then have to go into each folder and rename them to get the proper (or desired) number sequence.
