Photo Mechanic 6 running SO SLOW

I am running photo mechanic 6 build 6784 on MAC OS Ventura 13.4. I never had an issue with PC before, but it took me almost 2 days to ingest a card, and it takes forever to sort card data and every few photos I get the spinning wheel. It’s literally taking me 5x as long to get through a folder as usual. Please help!
