I use Photo Mecahanic 6 to geotag my photos based on a recorded GPS track. It is very good for this.
I still use the very old (and deprecated) Picasa for Windows desktop software to tag my photos (i.e. to type in the "description/caption"). One thing that stops me from using PM6 for this is that I can't see the "Description/caption" field in the same view as a map that shows the location of the photo (although I can no longer do this in Picasa either).
Any one of the following features would be helpful toward this goal:
1. A "Map" panel on the contact sheet view where pins for the selected photos (or all photos on the contact sheet, if none are selected) are shown on the map
2. When in preview mode, and I have the info/metadata panel up, a way to view the location on a map without having to close the info panel. (I notice the coordinates aren't even shown on this panel)
3. Some way to edit the "description/caption" of an image from the "Import GPS Coordinates" window.
I know that the GPS tagging is not the most used feature of PM6 but I hope that these suggestions can be taken into consideration.
Thanks.
