Tagged images

I am new to photo mechanic and have search for an answer with no luck.  I trying to quickly scroll through many photo's and "tag" my keepers.  (Then select and delete the no tagged images).  In lightbox mode I see a check box for tagged or not tagged.  But when I am in the image view of one mage, I cant tell if its tagged or not before I advance to the next image.   Is there an easy way to confirm that I have tagged it, before advancing on?

The checkbox for the tag should be visible in the bottom right corner of the window, as will as the bottom right corner of the thumbnail in the filmstrip that appears on the left or bottom of the Preview window. I've included a screenshot of what I am referring to. If you don't see this, please send a screenshot of what you are seeing.
