Importing iPhone Photos with data such as location

I did some searches and have watch the videos but for some reason when I import the photo from iPhone to my laptop and then view it on Photo Mechanic Plus I don't see the metadata or location information.  When I use Adobe Bridge it comes right up on the same photo that PM doesn't find.  What am I doing wrong?

What file format is the iPhone photo?  Can you share a sample so we can investigate?  Use the 'Attachments and other options' link when you're composing your reply to this message and there you'll be able to upload your sample file.
