Version 2024.8 Build 7765 (August 26, 2024)

On macOS, Photo Mechanic requires macOS 10.15 or higher.  If you are using a Mac with macOS 10.14.x or older, you will need to upgrade to macOS 10.15 or higher to use Photo Mechanic.
On Windows, Photo Mechanic requires a 64-bit edition of Windows 10 or higher.  If you are using Windows 8, or lower, you will need to upgrade to Windows 10 or higher in order to use Photo Mechanic.

Both:
• Added: Data Mining field in the Metadata dialogs where you can state your preference for allowing data mining of your photos, for example to block Generative AI training.
• Added: Read-only Affinity Photo file support (.afphoto).
• Added: Read-only support for Pixelmator Pro PXD previews.
• Updated: Zenfolio template for upcoming changes to their API.
• Fixed: FTP template connection settings port field should only accept numbers.
• Fixed: Flickr uploader, HTML characters should evaluate in lists where possible.
• Fixed: Smugmug uploader gives an error when trying to make a gallery from a template at the root level.
• Fixed: Ingest not evaluating isolated Code Replacements.
• Fixed: Incremental Ingest skips partner file if either the RAW or JPEG has already been ingested and filter is set to copy both.
• Fixed: Some HEIC photos causing crashes.
• Fixed: Added support for displaying HEIC photos from iOS 18.
• Fixed: Issue that prevented some users from activating their license.

macOS:
• Fixed: Inline rename field floats when some toolbar items are used.
• Fixed: Drag and Drop to Navigator no longer allows for moving files to a destination drive that differs from that of the source.
• Fixed: “pmarrangement.dat” only gets updated when in arrangement mode after renaming files.

Windows:
• Added: Home/End/Page Up/Page Down keys can be pressed while dragging an Arrangement in the contact sheet.  You can now quickly move through the contact sheet instead of having to wait to scroll to your destination.  Once you get near where you want, complete the drag at your desired location and release the mouse button.
• Fixed: 'Remove from Catalog' on unavailable catalog items gives an option that will generate an error.
• Fixed: Windows Navigator folder tree should recall current state when moving a folder and on refresh.

On Windows, you may see a window like the following appear when you try to install:

This is due to our recently updated code signing certificate.  As long as you see Camera Bits, Inc. as the publisher, you can trust the installer and choose "Run anyway".  In time, as our certificate gains trust by Microsoft Defender, these warnings will cease to occur.
