Is there a setting that will change PM from overwriting labels (colors)?

I have color labels that are not stored in the Color/Label set for PM, so when I apply metadata to these files, PM clears this field. Not sure why that's a function, but I'd like PM to not do that.

In the Metadata Template, find the Color Class item and uncheck its apply checkbox.
