Photomechnic not sending JPEGs to Photoshop
« on: November 26, 2024, 06:38:49 PM »
I can send a RAW file to photoshop with Command E.   But if I try to send a JGEP I get this message. "The chosen application for editing does not exist.  Check your Launching preferences."

I've been using this program for 8 years without this happening.  How do I fix it.

Have you checked your Launching preferences? Can you share a screenshot of them and the window that appears when you click the "Set" button next to "Assign default application for editing photos"?

Adobe changed the name of the applications. RAW files open with camera raw, which sits asa a standalone app with unique name of the folder "camera raw", which doesn't receive the year nomination. JPGs are open with photoshop, which switch every year the name of the home folder: photoshop 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025. Every year you need to retell PM where to find the new PS version.
