PM+ crashing while going through photos
« on: February 14, 2025, 09:02:19 PM »
I've been using PM+ for a long time but in the past ~six months I've started to have an issue where when am looking through photos that are on an SD card or anything, PM+ will cause the spinning rainbow wheel to start. If I force quit, the application will eventually say it quit, but the frozen image of it is stuck on my desktop. I then have to open, force quit, and open again to get it to work, but sometimes it will immediately start the spinning wheel again even if it does open. Then every second time or so that I open the application after force quitting, it doesn't let me open my SD card even though it says it's there in my files, and if I try to double click, the spinning wheel begins again.

Here are the specs for the application and my computer: Photo Mechanic Plus Version 6.0, build 7212. MacBook Pro with M3 Pro chip, OS Sequoia 15.3

I'm currently using a disk cache size of 1000MB and memory cache size of 20% (7372MB) if that might matter.

Any advice you all have would be super helpful!! I've never had this issue before and now it happens every time I try to look at photos and that is extremely disrupting my editing process.
