Like the "Structured Keyword Panel", I would like to have a structured Metadata Presets / Snapshots Panel.

In Capture One I have sorted these metadata presets aka templates aka snpashots in several subfolders by country, event, client, etc. and have them in a drop down menu.

The way snapshots are shown in Photo Mechanic will end up in a long chaotic list.

Best for locations, if a snapshot would also include the GPS geo data (like in Lightroom).

What would the User Interface for this feature look like?  How would you build your snapshots?

Wouldn't the menu version need to be:
Snapshots->Locations->Clubs->List of Clubs ?

Anyway, interesting idea, but it is fairly limited isn't it?  It can only apply keywords.  It's unable to set any other metadata field(s).

Hi, it's just one exsample of one genre (clubs). i’m think of way more. Each of these "clubs" have sets of metadata aka snapshot. Not only keywords. These sets for my workflow have: image location, location show, category, keywords, job-ID and if possible like in Lightroom GPS data.

Sure i could do all these annotation with my templates after in Lightroom or Capture One, but because I want to use Photo Mechanic more as a Digital Asset Management speed culling and annoation tool to start with after import. To manage and display tons of images fast it's the way to go, just lacks some Digital Asset Management features i need. At least it makes me confident in Photo Mechanic, because you are listening and replying;.-)

Here’s a screenshot how it looks in my Capture One setup.

So wouldn't it be better if these snapshots were from the Metadata Template?  Then anything and everything could be applied at once with one keystroke.

Hi Kirk, yes sure.

It's a bit confusing the expression "snapshot". In general I mean metadata templates / presets – like they are called in other DAM software. If you could include link GPS data /snapshots also on this Metadata Template it's complete and all I need. (like in Lightroom)

Just to list all sets of Metadata Templates like it is now under theit's a bit confusing and I will end up in an endless list.

That’s why it's better to have them in a structured window or in nested folders (like in Capture One).
Like now with this little flash icon for snapshots in the lower left it's a bit hidden and not clear if you are new to Photo Mechanic there you find all your metadata presets.

Thanks
