I'm using the Universal Binary with a PM+ perpetual licence on macOS 15.5.

Until today I had build 8239 installed. When I was using the "Metadata (IPTC) Info" window (accessed by clicking the "i" button on an image on a contact sheet), I could use control-1 .. control-5 to set the star ratings on the image in the window.

Today I updated to build 8612, and now the control-[1..5] keys don't work in the Metadata (IPTC) Info window; they just make a beep noise and the star rating isn't set. I've looked at the new keyboard shortcut settings, but I can't see anywhere those keys can be set to assign star ratings in that window as they used to. The control-[1..5] keys still work to set star ratings in the contact sheet.

If I'm missing something in the new keyboard shortcuts to set those keys, could you please let me know how to assign them?  Or if setting star ratings has been assigned to other keys in that window, what are the keys to use?

If they can't be set by that method, I assume it's a bug that's been introduced in this build - could it be corrected if so please? I prefer to set the star rating when adding other metadata to the image so it's an extra step if I can't do it in that window.

In the Info window in the new build, Ctrl-Shift-[1-5] will change the star rating. Our intention was certainly not to break any current functionality with adding customizable shortcuts. I've been able to reproduce this as you've described so we'll be looking into this.

If you'd prefer to revert back to the old shortcuts system while we look into it, that is available here: https://forums.camerabits.com/index.php?topic=16598.0

Thanks for the heads-up on Ctrl-Shift-[1-5]. I can certainly use that as a workaround, although if the previous behaviour is able to be reinstated I'd be grateful.

Roger,

You can record the original keys for the menus if you want to.  But you'll have to change any keys that conflict in the Contact Sheet.  The same keys can't be used in both places and we decided to have the original Contact Sheet shortcuts take precedence over the ones in the menus because we thought it would have less impact.  We basically had to flip a coin.

But you can make them however you like as long as there are no conflicts.
