Organizer size on Macbook very small - do not scale
« on: November 02, 2025, 01:48:55 PM »
Hi.
Today I discovered a problem that I have definitely not seen before.
On the sceen on  my Macbook M3 Pro with MacOS Tahoe 26.0.1 the organizer pane looks like it is fixed on a wrong screen resolution. (see attachment9
The problem is not there when I use my BenQ SW240 monitor with a 1920x1200.

Recently I upgraded my Mac to Tahoe 26.0.1 - and it might occurred after that - I mostly use PM from my BenQ monitor unless I am on the move. So I might havn’t noticed.
My Macbook Pro build in screen is a Liquid Retina XDR 14" (3024x1964)

I sure hope there is a setting or a fix for this

My PM is Version 6.0, build 7285 (fb3e520)

The issue does not occur on non "Retina" resolutions, so it may not have happened on your external monitor.

The fix is to update to the new version of Photo Mechanic. It will only get fixed in the version of Photo Mechanic Plus based on Photo Mechanic 6 if Apple fixes whatever got broken in MacOS Tahoe. We have reported the issue to them but they have yet to update our bug report.

Okay - thanks for reply.
It is fine for me to upgrade to the latest PM - as long as I am sure, that it will fix the problem.
And from what I understand in your answer to me - that is the case - an upgrade will fix this problem?
Best regards
Martin

Yes. You can begin a trial of the new version if you'd like to test it before purchasing.

Excellent!
I have now purchased an upgrade license, installed and activated it.
It took less that 10 minutes.
Problem solved!!

And no reindexing of catalogs!
It even looks a bit faster on catalogs view (form my NAS) than the old Mac-Intel (Rosetta translated) version.

Thank you very much for outstanding support.
