Is there a way to import an Extensis portfolio database into your new catalogue option?

No, there are no database import options in Photo Mechanic Plus.  It will pick up on all standard metadata contained in your images, so if your images contain the metadata edits you did in Extensis Portfolio, then they will be picked up by Photo Mechanic Plus.
