extract metadata to spreadsheet
« on: Today at 05:36:43 AM »
I suspect there's a way to do this, but haven't found it yet. I'd like to be able to select photos from a shoot and extract the following to a Numbers (ideally) file, CSV, XLS, or anything else I can turn into a spreadsheet:

file name
description/caption
keywords
label
star rating - it's not in the metadata dialog box, but I'm sure there's a name for it

-above are essential; below would be great, but not absolute must-have-

description writers
creator/photographer
event

Hi, you can do this by using export, which is near the bottom of the file dropdown.

Header settings:   Filename{tab}Caption{tab}Keywords{tab}Color label{tab}Rating

Varible settings:   {filename}{tab}{caption}{tab}{keywords}{tab}{label}{tab}{rating}

Open the resulting text file in your spreadsheet program.
