Multi Monitor - Window Behind - can't access
« on: October 25, 2026, 01:39:55 PM »
I'm running win 11 PM 6 - 7285. with 3 monitors. When I (PM) am on any other then primary monitor - Windows like Metadata template or "i" open Behind the active window and I need hit escape & to move the main window back to the primary monitor in order to access the popup window?

You could try holding shift while launching Photo Mechanic until the main Photo Mechanic window appears. This should reset the positions of all of its windows to their defaults. Let me know if that corrects the issue.

Did that the shrunk window to "Normal" size on main monitor. Selected an image - dbl click - full size on 2nd monitor, clicked on "I" - can not see the pop up. Only hear an error beep esc does not work, can't move or access either window. I think I need to end task to get any control - still trying ideas.

I've also tried moving the PM to a Monitor #3 and doing the same steps - Stipp "i" window fails with now access.

I did some searching in our forums to see if we have ever solved this problem in the past. The only relevant post I could find was from you: https://forums.camerabits.com/index.php?topic=17052.0

It doesn't look like you ever created a support ticket for this issue as Kirk suggested, so did you find a solution at that time? Did the problem just stop happening?

Perhaps try the steps to reset the window position with only one monitor connected? When I try this with 2 monitors connected, the Photo Mechanic window goes to my my main monitor.
