import/export data
« on: November 06, 2007, 07:31:35 PM »
I have been annotating a folder with copies of my original images, which are located in different folders on my computer. Is there a way to export this data back to the original files?

Thanks for your help, and thanks for answering my last post so promptly.

Not in any bulk/automated way.  You can use the IPTC Snapshot capability (Cmd-Opt-C to take, Cmd-Opt-V to paste) from one image to another, but I'd expect that to be very tedious.

I don't have any other solution for you, however.

You can use Exiftool. It's commandline, so a bit better suited to such really bulk operations. Bit hard to learn, though.

Thanks for the replies. I will look into Exiftool. I don't cherish the idea of commandline though. But I'll check it out.
