Rename not equal {filename} on ingest

(1/1)

smahaskey:
For our work flow, we are using the Ingest dialog window. Here, we check the "Apply IPTC Stationery Pad...Global" and use the "Rename Ingested Photos As" feature. Within the IPTC dialog window itself we are attempting to populate the transmission reference holder with {filename}. This all goes smoothly, however, the {filename} gets populated as the original datacard filename as opposed to the filename selected in the "rename ingested." For example, we attempt to rename the file as "AT010908smTest", but it populates the field as "DSC_0029.JPG".

Question: Is there anyway to get our renamed file to populate the {filename} script upon Ingest?

No.  You would have to apply the IPTC Stationery Pad one more time after the Ingest is complete.

Yes, you can put the same formula you entered in Rename Ingested Photos As field in the Transmission Ref. field. Although remember to uncheck this field when you use the Stationery Pad again after ingest, or you will have the wrong sequence number filled in.
