EXIF on FTP'd pics
« on: June 15, 2006, 12:58:15 PM »
Would it be possible to add a "Mask EXIF on Uploaded JPEGs" check box on the FTP dialog?  I like to keep the EXIF for my own records, but my clients don't need to know what ISO I shot at.  I can mask the EXIF, then FTP the pics, and then unmask the EXIF again, but a single checkbox would be much simpler, and would mean I'd always remember to strip the EXIF.

Thanks,
Sam

Yes.  Would this also be useful in the Upload to PhotoShelter feature?

Thanks for the feedback,

I'm not a PhotoShelter user, but good to hear it would be possible in FTPing.  :)

Just a further thought - if you added a feature like this to the Email Photos and Burn Photos to Disc functions as well as the Upload to PhotoShelter and FTP dialogs then that would cover all the different methods of delivering photos to clients available within PM.

When you send as Originals, that checkbox does not apply.  So what people are asking for is the ability to mask out the EXIF data even when they are sending originals, which means that technically they aren't sending the originals...
