sound annotations and Canon PowerShot G9
« on: May 14, 2008, 10:53:24 AM »
My Canon PowerShot G9 allows me to add audio annotations to images.  These are stored on the SD card as a separate .WAV file named snd_NNNN.wav, where NNNN are the four digits from the corresponsing jpg and/or RAW file (IMG_NNNN.JPG).

I have photo Mechanic rename the photos "{dats}-{seqn}"while ingesting the images, however, it does not rename the .WAV file, thus breaking the link.   It copies the .WAV files over, but they are still named something like IMG_0357.WAV instead of 20080513-011.WAV

Is there some setting I am missing in order to get Photo Mechanic to rename the .WAV files as it ingests them?

-Thanks

No, it is something we have to fix.  If the camera had just named the file IMG_NNNN.WAV instead, it would work fine.

Hopefully, this is an easy fix that can make it into the next update.

Thanks for a great program.
