Rename images during ingest
« on: July 18, 2008, 12:08:26 PM »
I did it before, by accident, but now on reinstalling 4.5.3.1 I can't repeat the "accident."  All I want to do is replace the camera assigned file name with the date the picture was shot followed by a 3 digit number that I can reset.  I know this is easy but I really couldn't figure it out from the instructions in the help area nor by a search of the forum...must be obvious.
Thx//Del

Use this as the renaming string:

{datesort}_{seqn}

and Set the sequence number as 001 to start.

The underscore can be omitted if you don't want it.

Kirk,
Thx.  It still took some rebeginner steps to even know to enter the braces and the term in the rename box; I first tried entering the info after opening the set sequence variable area.
Thx again,
