Need to change the year in my metadata to sort files

two cameras and I set the year wrong on one.. I want to sort the pictures by the date created and have the wrong year.
can I change it??

I found where you can change the date, etc. however it doesn't embed the change in the file only in Photomachanic

Use the "Adjust Capture Dates and Times..." command on the Tools menu.  It will allow you to change the date the photos were shot.

I see that you can change the exif data, but it does not actually change the data in the file, I think only in the catch in photomech.

What data is it that you're looking to change?  Exif data is stored in the file, so you've got me a bit confused...
