Orientation of JPG-images saved as NEF
« on: September 22, 2008, 06:50:19 AM »
Hi, thanks for an excellent product!

There is perhaps a little bug, though, with the new PM 4.5.4 Beta: When a portrait JPG-image is saved as a NEF in Capture NX2, the image is rotated to landscape in PM, i.e., the orientation flag seems to be disregarded.

Edited: Actually, the orientation flag does seem to be taken into account, because the NEF image is rotated twice. Could it be that the orientation flag should be disregarded when saving a JPG as NEF?

Could you send me a sample file?

Karl,

Hi Kirk, here is a sample image.

I really need the actual NEF file.  Contact me privately by clicking on my name to the left of this message.  Then click on the 'personal message' link.  I will respond with server upload info.

Thanks,

-Kirk
