click and drag keywords
« on: December 13, 2008, 08:12:31 AM »
The ability to click and drag keywords and their child items would be appreciated.

For example, I just created the keyword "musical instruments" as a child item of "music," and then proceeded to add child items (along with a bunch of synonyms) such as "violin," "guitar" and "cello."

And then I realized, after all that work, that I should have first created a keyword of "stringed instruments" as a child item of "musical instruments," and then added those specific stringed instruments to it.

So a click and drag capability would make it convenient to add "stringed instruments" as a child item of "musical instruments," and then merely click and drag each instrument and their synonyms into it as child items.

One other thing: an autofill capability would be nice -- so that when you enter the first few letters of a keyword in the search panel, the rest of the word is automatically completed.

Thanks,
Robert

Drag and drop in a column view is no simple task.  My plan is to allow cut and paste which will achieve the same end result.

That's a feature of the upcoming 4.6 version.
