OS X 10.6 Snow Leapard Support
« on: August 19, 2009, 07:04:31 PM »
With all the Mac users and eminent release etc, just wondering if you have had access to any of the developer seeds of
Snow Leapard, and if you envision any issues with the PM 4.6.x on it?

Thanks,

Steve,

Yes and it appears to work fine at the moment.  That said, I fixed a Leopard-only issue in version 4.6 today.

I anticipate issues.  Hopefully there won't be any, but there hasn't been an OS release yet that hasn't affected Photo Mechanic in some way.

My suggestion is: don't be an early adopter if your business depends on your current software working without issues.

There's a bug...
If you Ingest a Card or a Folder sometimes PM just quits. Already sent a Bug Report.

On 10.6 10A432 (latest dev seed)

I saw your crash reports (two of them) and it was Apple's Save dialog that crashed inside Photo Mechanic.  Hopefully that will be fixed before 10.6 is finalized.

It's final...
Today the "Retail Disc" arrived.

We changed already because the exchange support is very good (better than entourage).

Please let us know of any issues you find, and please list the steps needed to reproduce any problems you find, if possible.

Still the same issue.
I ingest a card/folder, it ingests some pics, than pm quits.

Tried on MacBook Unibody and MacMini (latest)

Both Snow Leopard Retail (same as latest DevSeed)

Maybe Apple release tomorrow a online update for snow leopard, cauz the official release is tomorrow.

Yeah it keeps crashing on me too.  I'm sending the crash report each time.

Are you filing them with our crash reporter or Apple's?

Selecting "Send to Apple" option.

It's during the ingest.  I had to manually copy over and then open the contact sheet to continue my work.

It is the folder picker dialog that is crashing and it is provided by Apple.  If you can avoid bringing it up, then the crashing should no longer occur.

The crash reports that are sent to Apple don't make their way to us.  Please also file a report with our crash reporter as well.

Although I am not getting the crash when ingesting, the files are ingesting so slow that it is painful. If I just copy the files to a folder from the cards, it works fine. However I then have to rename and add IPTC separately.

Thank You!
