PM 4.6.1 Slow to render CANON 5D MARK 2 RAW FILES

Hi,

i have a MACPRO tower with 6 GB of RAM 2 x 2.8 ghz QUAD Processors
Am finding PM 4.6.1 very slow to render when enlarge from thumbnail view. Also very slow to add tags or color class
i have CACHE set this way
DISK CACHE 1024
RESERVED 512
MEMORY CACHE 1024

Its diving me to ADOBE BRIDGE .. used to be faster with CANON 1D3 files (10mb) the 5D2 files are 21MB is that why?

any help appreciated

First set your Memory cache to something lower like 700 MB.

Second, do you have RAW rendering turned on in the RAW tab of the Preferences dialog in Photo Mechanic?  If so, turn that off.  RAW rendering using ImageIO is painfully slow.

They're fine.  Did you have RAW rendering turned on after all?
