Problem with .fmt
« on: August 31, 2009, 08:07:26 AM »
I receive IPTC captions from a client who use Fotostation. Up to now they were .ipt files, but the new version in .fmt , and
I cannot use them with Photo Mechanic v4.5.4. Any solution ?

Can you post a sample file?  I've never seen one before.

Thanks,

Kieran,

Thanks for speedy response !

It's just an XMP file.  Change the filename extension from .fmt to .xmp and Photo Mechanic should be able to work with it just fine.

Odd that they would give an XMP file a different filename extension...

Kirk,
Yes, you are correct.
It works !
As you say, don't know why Fotostation are using .fmt filename.
Thanks for your help.
