Paul,

Well, I'm back to square one (see first message in this thread), this time with PM 4.6.2 public beta 2 and Mac OS X 10.6.1 on the same Intel-based MacBook Pro. The upload appears to run normally, but no go.

I just tried it again on my system running the very latest build of 4.6.2 and my picture uploaded correctly and was visible in the gallery I expected it to be in when I browsed my galleries in SmugMug.

Are you certain you're running the 4.6.2 beta?  I didn't change anything about the SmugMug template from the test version I sent you a few weeks ago.  It is known to work correctly.

Yes, it's the latest 4.6.2 beta with Snow Leopard 10.6.1. I just tried another upload, with the same result.

Kirk,

Here's some additional information for you. I just tried an upload with a much smaller file (about 200 KB versus several MB), and this time it worked.

That's odd.  I just uploaded a 4.7MB JPEG file and it worked fine for me.

Kirk,

After your last reply I tried uploading a 4.7MB file several times, and it worked only once.

I then downloaded and reinstalled the 4.6.2 beta, and I'm still encountering the same issue.

About the only thing I can offer is for you to send me your account settings (privately!!!) and then I can try uploading a number of files and see if I can reproduce the problem.  Otherwise I suggest you contact SmugMug support on this issue since no one else is reporting the same problem as you.

Paul,

I sent you a personal message.

I uploaded six images ranging in size from about 2MB to over 7MB with no issues whatsoever.  The images made it into your account just fine.

Thanks, Kirk.

That's very odd. I'm wondering if it might have something to do with the very slow upload speed I'm getting with my new ISP.

I also need the fix for Smugmug. Please please send info on how do get it. I upload a lot from PM and it is truly a powerful feature to be able to upload right from PM.

Odd indeed.  It works fine for me.  Are you certain that you're using the beta version?  Do you see the beta warning dialog when you launch Photo Mechanic?

Kirk,

I just uploaded two images, 2.30MB and 4.40MB, and it worked fine this time. Also, the upload seemed considerably faster.
