Trying to build a HTML export template
« on: September 28, 2009, 01:16:17 PM »
A friend of mine started writing me an export template but we are struck with the first steps. We used the example from the documentation http://forums.camerabits.com/index.php?topic=4726.0 but we receive the following error message:

Is it really a basic question what might cause this?
Working on Mac, OSX, iOS and with some Canons.
Allways shooting RAW.

Sounds like some of the modifications to your HTML are causing issues for the parser.  Likely unbalanced quotes, tags, etc.

If you'd like to share your HTML with me I'd be happy to figure it out for you.

I would be more than happy to share it if it will contain any of its real goals but it is only a test code you included in the documentation.

Did you copy and paste the text directly from the PDF?  That won't work since the quotes are styled quotes (forward double-quotes and backwards double-quotes).  If you access the 'HTML Template Docs' in the Extras folder the example code is there (open up index.html) and hasn't been reformatted with smart quotes.  Those samples should work just fine.
