None of the selected photos can be saved at high resolution
« on: August 06, 2006, 10:42:01 PM »
Hi CameraBits!

I'm really loving the simplicity and power of Photo Mechanic 4.4.3.1 -

One issue: whenever I try to use my photojournalism camera (Olympus E330) the resulting .orf raw files generate the following error when using File->Save Photos As:

"None of the selected photos can be saved at high resolution."

...are .orf's not supported? That's a killer for me!

Help!
Thanks,
-Dan

ORF files are not rendered by Photo Mechanic.  That said, if you want to get the JPEG previews out of your ORF files you can use the "Extract JPEG Previews from RAW Photos" command on the Tools menu.  This isn't the same as Save As, but the result is that you will have standalone JPEGs that you can then use however you like.

If Photo Mechanic were to become more of a RAW processor, then you would be able to save ORF files as JPEG, TIFF, or PSD.

HTH,

-Kirk
