resizing AdobeRGB to sRGB @ 100% leads to larger file
« on: January 12, 2010, 06:22:57 PM »
I was resizing a bunch of JPEGs which are in AdobeRGB color space and converting them to sRGB for upload. I used original size with cropping, sharpening, and convert to sRGB. When I did this, the files increased in size in about 10-20%. Is this expected behavior?

PM 4.6.2.2 beta 3 on Mac OS X 10.5.8

Thanks, David.

Sure.  You set the JPEG quality higher than the quality used to encode the original JPEG image.
