Contact sheet showing captions/filename
« on: March 05, 2010, 08:01:59 AM »
With everyone working from their own "remote office," I take photos and post them on the pub's server and need to communicate to the editor what photos are there and the caption information. There needs to be a way to create "photo mail" like Photoshop Elements. With iView I at least could print out contact sheet with file name, which I included with the CD.

The editor and designer are working apart, so being able to create an e-mail showing selected photos would be useful.  How can I do it?

You could always print a contact sheet to a PDF file and email that to your editor.

This is actually be one of the very few times I would use Bridge CS4 (I'm not sure CS3 already has this option). Its PDF output capabilities are great for this. But as Kirk said printing a contact sheet from within PM directly to PDF would also work.

Tom,

How do you print a contact sheet to a PDF?

If you're on a Mac, you can print directly to a PDF from the print job dialog.  If you're on Windows, you'll need to install a PDF printer driver and print to that.  There are some free PDF printer drivers available:

No wonder I could't find it on my (Windows) machine!
I do use Mac at home and look forward to using it there.

I'll take a look at the link you provided for Windows.

Many thanks, Kirk.
