Photoshop and Photo Mechanic Help
« on: April 11, 2010, 11:16:13 AM »
Hi,

I just downloaded the demo version of PM, and as I was trying out the program, I tried to edit a photo in Photoshop. That worked for me, but when I reverted back to PM, the edited photo didn't show up in the thumbnail list as edited. I tried reloading the photos, closing and then re-opening the program, and searching the forums, but this problem didn't seem to show up for anyone (or at least, no one asked about it). What should I do?

I am running PM 4.6.3 on a Mac OS 10.6.3

Thanks!

Was it a raw file? If so, the problem is that Photoshop does not update the embedded preview image in those files and this is what is used by PM.

A solution could be to first convert the raw files to DNG and edit those in Photoshop, to my knowledge Photoshop is able to update the preview in those files (as long as you have specified this in the options).

Hope this helps,
