New Mac Book Pro Problem
« on: April 27, 2010, 07:42:35 PM »
I just purchased a new 15" macbook pro, 2.66 i7.  When I review pictures with PM and switch images there is a noticeable delay before the image comes into focus.  It is similar to what I saw with lightroom before switching to PM.  I wonder about the graphics features of the new MB pro but really have no idea why I am seeing this or how to fix it.  Any thoughts?

Do you have RAW rendering turned on?
What version of Photo Mechanic are you running?
What OS version are you running?

I checked preferences and have the following:

RAW rendering is enabled
For RAW and JPEG: "render RAW for preview if possible"
For RAW only: "render RAW for preview if possible"

Change them to prefer JPEG previews and the speed will come back.

Great.  Perhaps you could post the solution on the SportsShooter message board on that thread you started?  That way people over there will benefit by having the answer.

Thanks,
