Do we have to actively stop the live ingest process???
I notice that pm keeps the ingest dialog active and processes are very busy....
When I try to stop through ingest window it brings up active ingest warning.
I'm not sure if I've understood, but the way it's supposed to work, is:
A Live Ingest task indeed does continue running until it is explicitly stopped via the Ingest Progress window.
When a Live Ingest task is running, it will display "Waiting for files to ingest....." in the Ingest Progress window.
If you stop the task, it should bring up a confirmation dialog box asking, "Do you really want to stop the Ingest operation?"
Above, when you write, "processes are very busy", do you mean it's using a lot of CPU time?
Normally, Live Ingest shouldn't use much CPU time while waiting for files to ingest. However, it does do some work at intervals to scan for the arrival of new files.
Has this helped? Not sure if I've answered your question.

Bill
