rotate crop feature?

How about a rotate crop feature? It would save a lot of hassle.

MacBook Pro
PhotoMechanic 4.6.6

The next major version of PM (in development) has a rotated crop feature.  I do not have a projected release date for you at this time.

Is there any rough estimate for a new release with this feature? Last quarter 2011, 1st quarter 2012?

I think PM is wonderful and has the ability to secure major market share with just a few more tweaks and functions, but being able to rotate the crop (or straighten the horizon with a crop) would definitely be a major improvement.

Paul,
I have already asked for that some time ago (along with other members too).
I definitely think it will be a time saver because I frequently open DPP just to straighten the horizon with the crop...let's wait for the next major version of PM...

Hi Kirk,

As long as you are thinking about crop features....  ;D

On occasion I need to duplicate crops from one image to another.  For example, I might render multiple copies, bracketing exposure.  Then I want to print the images to see which I like best.  If I print with a crop it's like pulling teeth to duplicate the crops in order to get consistent framing of the print set.

So... a "copy crop" option would be very helpful.  I know there are some things to think about, in the case where the pixel dimensions are not identical but that's why you get the big bucks  ;D

Best,
Neil

Copy and Paste of crops is going to be in there.  I've already finished that feature.

I've just been checking on proposed updates and agree this alone would be worth the cost  ;)

Yes! Looking forward to it when it gets implemented. Even though I edit my RAW photos in Adobe Camera Raw, which has a nice rotate crop feature, I will still crop the finished JPEGs in Photomechanic, just because it will be much faster to do so in PM ;)

Another thread states that the next major update to PM ver 5 comes in first quarter of 2012 having the rotate crop feature too.
Working on Mac, OSX, iOS and with some Canons.
Allways shooting RAW.
