Just to let you know, the developer has released a new version which sorts this problem. VERY impressed.

If, like me, you email pics from PM, it's a crucial add on for Apple Mail. Well worth getting!

Thanks again for the help in here...

It's funny, I just can't work without Photo Mechanic now, and imagine my horror after leaving my job as a staff photographer and going freelance, some local papers don't have FTP so I need to email pics to them!

It's such a time saving measure to FTP to the Dailies and then just email to the locals, all from Photo Mechanic.

One again Kirk, thank you for the best bit of software I own, my job would be so much harder without it!

Cheers

As a workaround zip the jpegs and attach.
Not very elegant but it works...
Also sending email as plain text and attaching jpeg at the end of the email usually works...
Thanks for the heads up on lokiware,
I look forward to using it!

I'm afraid zipped jpg's for local papers is not normally an option. Most have paltry gateway allowances so you need to send as seperate emails. Sending as plain text doesn't always work. I had a nightmare with certain papers, would only save as a bmp etc. etc. Apple Mail is great if you send to a Mac, but with a lot of councils and smaller newspapers their email sysyems are PC based and generally old and clunky.

This business is all about being Professional and also appearing Professional. If I send pics and they can't open them I look bad, can't take that risk...

Lokiware's Attachment Tamer is a life saver... highly recommended :-)

Local Papers should be grateful to receive images....
But obviously that is not your reality!
