I also have this issue - maybe it depends to the new window restore feature of Lion?
I didn't research a lot, but it seems I see this issue if I shut down my Mac while PM is running.
After that I've to use TimeMachine to restore Library/Preferences/*photomechanic* - timestamp a week ago

I'm using PM 468b1 on OS X 10.7

Sorry for less details - I've to develop images of a wedding this weekend

Did you use the Slide Show feature at all?

Yes, it depends to slight show - once started - a new round with time machine  :(

Can you send me your preferences file before and after the issue has occurred?  Contact me privately for an email address you can send the files to.

Thanks,

I encourage everyone experiencing this issue to get Photo Mechanic 4.6.8 Beta 2 here:

Several people on this thread have confirmed that the new beta fixes this issue.
