Bought 4.6.7 at the special price -- is 4.6.8 a free upgrade?

I'm afraid to just download 4.6.8 to try to register it, for fear that I may lose access to my 4.6.7.

Yes, it is a free upgrade.  By buying the special, you just won't get a free upgrade to the next major version of PM when it is released.
