Ingesting problems
« on: April 05, 2012, 03:52:55 PM »
Hi,

I have just bought the latest version of Photomechanic and tried to ingest for the first time, both from my Nikon D7000 and Nikon D700.

When I click ingest in the 'File' menu, the ingest window comes up, but there is nothing in the 'Source paths' area.   I would expect my connected camera to be within that surely?  But nothing.

Lightroom has no problems importing.

Please help.

Thanks

Richard

Photo Mechanic only Ingests from cards that mount as a disk on your computer.  Most cameras cannot function in such a way as to provide a disk interface.  You'll need to get a dedicated card reader and insert your cards into it.  Photo Mechanic will then be able to ingest your pictures.
