Two expiration dates
« on: July 14, 2012, 06:54:45 AM »
I understand the need to have a limited trial period and expiration for final releases of software.  I don't understand why there is a limited trial period for beta releases that expire anyway.  As it turns out, I will have one day to work with beta 3 before my trial period expires. The beta expires anyway, why not allow the trial to go until then?

When did you request your demo code?  It should have lasted far beyond the beta expire date.  For instance, I requested one for myself and it ends near the end of July.

Our betas always have a hard-expire date.  This is not new.

If you had a current license that would allow you to upgrade to PM 5 when it is released, you would only have the beta expire date.

I received my demo code July 6.  It expires tomorrow, July 15. It worked for beta 1 and beta 2.  Beta 3 just came out.  Can I request a new demo code for beta 3?

I know the betas always expire.  I understand that.  My question is why bother with a demo code for a version that expires anyway.
