PM 5 No Upgrade Pricing
« on: August 13, 2012, 08:45:16 AM »
I've been using PM for many years and currently am running 4.6.9.  However when I logged into my account I find that to "upgrade" I get to purchase a "new" license.  So no upgrade pricing for existing customers?

Of course existing customers qualify for upgrade pricing.  Please contact sales@camerabits.com with the details of your original purchase and they should be able to get you the upgrade price.

Hi KIrk,
I too was surprised that I could not get an upgrade, but had to purchase a new license.
Could this be because I use the v5 already?
I have been a PM user since it was called the AP Viewer and never missed an upgrade , so I was a bit surprised that I suddenly had to pay for a new license.

Søren,

Here is what the store says when you get to the PM 5 product page:

"If you already own a license, please login to check your eligibility for an upgrade. [Login here]

Please call Camera Bits Sales ( +1 503.547.2800 ) if you believe you are entitled to purchase an upgrade and do not see that purchase option, if you purchase a full licence, we are not able to refund the difference."

I will add that if you did login and you still don't get the offer of an upgrade, please contact sales@camerabits.com with your purchase details and they should be able to help you out.

Definitely give Sales a call. I had the same problem and it turned out a typo with my email address in their database caused the issue and was quickly corrected.

I'll just chip in and add that I had a similar problem and gave sales a call. Everything was resolved in minutes and my payment was taken over the phone. I didn't even need my old licence key, they just found me from my name. So if it's possible for you to telephone, that's by far the simplest way to get up and running.

Same problem here, but I was within the free upgrade period.  Contacted sales and was told just to download the version 5 file from their site. She said since I was within the free upgrade period, it would not show on the purchase page when I logged into my account.   Worked like a charm.  Great service.
