IPTC Stationery Pad
« on: October 30, 2012, 01:02:33 AM »
Embarressed to ask this, please allow for a bungling learner.

I created an IPTC pad with some basic items and keywords, also four different sets of keywords. The pad is based on the country I live in, I want to have another pad based on shots taken in a second country with, for example a different country in the Events & Location menu and its own keywords selection.
(I tried changing the keyword sets in the pad I have but when the new set appears my details such as copyright and name disappear)
Would someone kindly save me some time and explain please?

Thanks

Hi Dave!

You can set up several stationary pads and save one by one with the lightning-button in the lower left.
You also can re-load the saved ones the same way.

Hope that helps
Sven

On a Mac hold the option-key pressed while clicking on one of the items already saved.
This will open the finder with all items listed. You can then delete the one(s) you do not need anymore.

Don't mean to hijack this post but since it's about saving a stationery pad, I thought I'd ask the question here.  I regularly save stationery pad data using the "Save" button.  This creates a file I can recall later with the various fields filled in.  I've never used the lightning bolt to save.  What is the difference between saving the info into a file using Save vs using the lightning bolt?  Is one faster than the other?  In practice, are they essentially the same?

Thanks for any info.

Woodie,

using the save / load button is (in my opinion) the slower way. You have to browse the folders to find the correct file to load.
Using the lightning-button it is only one click to load the "presets".

You are SO right.  I've been going through multiple steps when I could have done a click-click and been there.

Thanks Sven.
